ADU Log Home Plans

Sometimes you don’t need a bigger home. You simply need the right amount of space for what comes next.

What is an ADU?

An accessory dwelling unit, commonly called an ADU, is a smaller, independent living space located on the same property as a primary home. It typically will have its own kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area, giving family members, guests or tenants a separate space to live.

Ward’s ADU Series offers thoughtfully designed smaller homes that can work for aging parents, guests, rental space, downsizing, or adding another living space to your property. Each plan makes good use of its footprint while still giving you the comfort and character you’d expect from a Ward cedar home.

Whether you already know exactly how you’d use the space or you’re still figuring that out, these plans give you a good place to start. And like our other Ward home plans, they can be customized to better fit your property and the way you want to live.

Before choosing a plan, you’ll want to check your local requirements. ADU rules can vary by town and state, including requirements for size, setbacks, utilities, septic systems, and how the home can be used.
