Kitchen with wooden cabinets, window, and countertop

Meal Planning Center

As a touch of elegance, your kitchen should have a meal planning center where recipes, books, and card files can be located. However, in this day in age it can be a place where you lay your tablet to look up recipes.  Maybe a section of the counter with storage drawers is all you need.  If you are old school a planning desk can be made using a “vanity” drawer unit combined with an apron drawer unit.  This desk area should be located at the quietest end of the kitchen where you plan your meals.  Most desk/vanity units are 21 inches in depth while regular base cabinets are 24 inches.

Here are some great Meal Planning Centers we like;

Kitchen with desk area
Kitchen space for recipes/books
Kitchen desk space with storage
